Beneath Grians floating rocks, a strange rift opened. He didn't question it, he jokingly said that it was its magic that kept the rocks floating. 

Time passed, and different hermits started noticing some strange things happening in the world, like blocks disappearing and re-appearing in a flinch of a second or hermits getting strange headaches, which seemed to only be happening near the rift.

Their admin, Xisuma, who was partly merged with the code of the world, felt those strange incidents getting stronger and stronger. After a while, more and more hermits reached out to him, and he decided that he needed to do something as soon as possible, as the rift seemed to get dangerous for his world.

But what can one do against something so powerful, it nearly seems as if it came from... a different universe?(CC) Attrib. NonComm. ShareAlike

Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want. I did something similar to this for a German story I published like two years ago, so I figured, why not do it in English too? So here goes nothing! This will be a long one!
