This is the last thing she imagines when she snuck out of her bedroom at this freezing time of the day. At first, all she thought was another patrolling guard who managed to catch her enjoying the flowers in the garden...in the middle of the night.
But no...the closer she looks, the closer the figure steps towards her... ever so gracefully...
Lynden represses a gasp, as her eyes go wide, stunned while the person, who also has the same bewilderment expression, stares back at her.
Almost as if by fate that pulls the knight and her crush together on this peaceful, yet chilly night. Almost like, in her racing mind, the only chance that the Goddess gifts her with.

***Warning: Explicit Sexual Content*** Lavinia gripped her sister's elbow, as the dinner guests mingled in the garden, champagne flutes in hand. "What is the matter? You look... um, belligerent." "I'm going to be imprisoned for crimes against the crown before this night is over, sister," Elizabeth said, with a good dose of malice, and swiftly downed the contents of her glass, in a most unladylike way. "Care to explain before we go in for dinner?" "I wish I could explain, but I really don't know where to begin, and I'm afraid you are the last person I should be telling my tale to." Lavinia looked puzzled. "Try me." Elizabeth sighed, wishing she did not have a sister who had chosen to live the rest of her life married to God. She was supposed to be the one person she could go to and talk about womanly things, damn her eyes. "All I will say is that earlier today I had an unfortunate encounter with my betrothed... and his... um..." she fumbled for the right word. She supposed penis was the correct, scientific term, but saying the word seemed plain wrong in the presence of her pious sister. She therefore made a vague, awkward, wave-like gesture in the general area of her middle, blushing furiously. Had Lavinia been drinking champagne, she might have choked on it, but thankfully, she did not indulge in spirits. She did look, however, aghast. "I beg your pardon?" Elizabeth shook her head, turning her attention to the other side of the terrace, where the king and queen were calling their guests' attention. This was not the time, nor the place to divulge any further details. "Well, speak of the devil..." Elizabeth muttered, snatching another glass of champagne from a nearby valet. Set in a fictonal kindgom, this is the story of Elizabeth who begrudgingly arrives at the royal palace to finally wed Henry, the haughty prince to whom she had been promised since they were chldren.

My hoodie obscure half of my face so I doesn't know if this strange woman saw my flat expression. "I am sorry. I've been staring at you for a while which I know was totally creepy but I swear I am not. I can only see half of his face, reflected in the mirror at the front of the bus, and part of that is obscured by the peak of the black company-branded cap he's wearing. But I can see enough to glean that there's a strong jaw covered in scruff. A wide mouth that looks like it would be prone to smiling. He's wearing glasses with trendy light tortoiseshell frames, and I can't quite discern the colour of his eyes from my position . . . but some weird intuition is telling me that they'll be hazel, and I wonder when my brain is going to catch up. Because I *know* him, don't I? I'm almost certain of it. And he seems to know me, too. Or at least he thinks he does. The way he's glancing over at me lets me in on that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mirren Shepherd has *many* pet peeves. Top of the list, though? Staycations . . . And surprises. So when her girls' trip abroad is cancelled at the last minute and she finds herself roped into a minibus tour of Northern Scotland instead, she isn't remotely happy. And when she finds out who their guide is . . . It's yet another reason for her to dislike surprises. Because Owen Sullivan wasn't so much the one who got away . . . He was the one who just didn't return. And, after she finally got over him, she never expected to see him again. Mirren would prefer to leave the past in the past, but Owen is determined to try to right his wrongs. Can she trust him? Can she trust *herself*? Maybe, just maybe, this surprise - and staycation - won't be as bad as Mirren thinks . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~

In a world of monsters, is it possible to find the beauty in each other? Ice melts... Power ignites... Bonds forge... Just in time to clash with the impending storm on its way. ----------------------------------------------------------------- "I think you have lost your mind," Soren suddenly muttered. Then it happened: Annika grinned. A glowing warmth lit inside, heating her cold interior. There was something extraordinary about the simplicity put into a grin. The anguish lessoned, and suddenly anything was possible. Surely the sky could fall if Annika could smile? "What makes you say that?" She asked as she continued her movements. The grin acted as a soothing balm on her aching heart. Annika might've been crazy to become so easily uplifted by an everyday facial expression, but crazy seemed like a much better term to be than slave. "Only a lunatic would approach me in my slumber." His eyes remained shut, and he didn't object to her petting, so Annika didn't stop. "Well... you wouldn't know if you were asleep?" "Mmm," the sound vibrated like a guttural hum, "I awoke the second you entered." "Did you?" Annika asked as she turned her head to study his face, but this time, his eyes were open, revealing those beautiful pits of colorless depths. --------------------------------------------------------------- (WARNING: MATURE CONTENT OF ALL KINDS *EMPHASIS ON THE ALL PART*) Highest Rank: 48 (thanks to you beautiful creatures)

A cool breeze nipped at your exposed legs, causing goosebumps to erupt over your skin. You were curled into your comforter, comfy and safe, your cheek pressed against your pillow. Lips pursed and a small amount of drool seeping into the fabric. A creak came from the corner of your room, slightly rousing you from your slumber. You glanced around, your drooping eyelids barely taking in the scene. In your sleep riddled state, you didn't see him, his large figure stalking towards you. The whites of his eyes shining in the moonlight, it wasn't until you felt a palm slide up your side. Following the natural contours of your body, the emanating from it lulling you to sleep once again. A dip in the mattress, the springs creaking under the weight. Hot breath fanned over your neck, soft lips pressing onto the back of your ear. A deep hum filling your senses, you sighed. Cuddling back into the figure, wanting to get closer to the warm entity. A low chuckle sounded behind you, and then... Nothing.
