"You're also arrogant, impulsive and in some ways frighteningly wonderful. In other ways," he whispered across her skin, "you're also the most lovely woman I've ever known."
His mouth moved over the skin he had just touched, and Amanda felt him kiss the sensitive spot once more, and she closed her eyes and reveled in the sensation. "You have a way with words, Alastor," she mused, "if anyone heard us right now, they'd think I've cast a spell over you."
"I do indeed feel somewhat enthralled."
She laughed, a bit louder than she had intended, but he didn't seem to mind. "Then I must be a terrible enchantress. I make promises I can't keep. I say things I don't mean."
"That's why I love you," he murmured, and she could feel his teeth against her throat. "It suits you."
"Oh, Alastor," she breathed, and, reaching up, she tugged down on his hair.
"Dear me, you're very distracting," he said, releasing her neck. "I don't think I can stay sane around you."
"I wouldn't want you to."

Win or lose the game she will have to be Alastor's personal songbird. Maria sees Alastor as a prideful argent ass until she finds him in distress one evening. She ends up making another deal with Alastor. She never thought it would end up with them being together. One day, Alastor disappears before Maria can tell him about two little things. Over the years, Maria still loves Alastor but she can't decide if he should know about the two little things if he ever comes back or its best to keep them a secret.
