Kyrah never thought she could love Akihiro in the way he wanted her to. They've been best friends for as long as she can remember, and she's always cared for him deeply. But when he admits his feelings for her, Kyrah is confronted with a painful truth she's avoided for years: she doesn't experience love the same way he does. As an aroace, Kyrah doesn't feel romantic attraction, but she fears losing Akihiro more than anything else in the world. For Kyrah, their friendship is everything-but Akihiro's love threatens to change everything between them. She doesn't want to hurt him, but she also doesn't want to lie to him. And so, Akihiro, despite the pain it causes him, chooses to let her go. He makes the hardest decision of all-not to hold on, but to release her so that she can be true to herself, free from the weight of his unrequited love. I'll Love You Anyway is a heart-wrenching exploration of identity, friendship, and the sacrifices made when love doesn't come in the form we expect. Sometimes, the greatest act of love is knowing when to let go.
