The sky was an endless sea of wonder and amazement. As a child I would lie awake in my bed and stare out my open window for hours, just hoping to one night find the answers to my questions written amongst the shining stars.
"What is love?" I would ask, only to be returned silence.
That's why I began to escape to dream worlds where I was happy and the Earth could tell me whatever I wanted to know.
But that was back when I was younger and care-free. We all have to grow up sometime and realise that those dreams were just dreams, the places we go to escape the terrible 'real world'.
After finally growing up and being surrounded by lies and heartbreak, I decided that it was finally time to discover for myself what love was truly like.
But plans don't always go as smoothly as you want them to, especially when the person you begin to fall in love with doesn't even know how to love you in return.
What do you do when the stars don't answer? You find the answer on your own.

The Best Kept Secret!
They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one. The first choice I made was to go live off-campus with my grandmother during my first semester in college. I ask myself how could I be so stupid? But you will see just how stupid I was. Running from the gang
In life, we do things we regret, or that we wish we could wipe from our memory forever. At the age of 15, I didn't think I'd regret anything until I was an adult. I considered myself care free. I lived life one day at a time. Well, as much as a 15 year old can. But in life, there are also things that we can't change, that we can't forget. Circumstances change, events occur, and life as we know it is altered forever. For me, it was one night, that set in motion a series of events that I wouldn't be able to forget, even if I tried to. *************************** My life was spectacular, or cool, but I was content, and that's all that mattered. I wasn't overly popular, I wasn't the prettiest girl, and I didn't live in a mansion. I did have a great boyfriend, and amazing friends, and hell, I wasn't doing too bad in school either. But that all changed one night, as I was walking home at night. I witnessed a man murder someone he claimed was a snitch, something to do with a gang deal gone wrong. When I found my parents dead the next day in a serial killers wet dream, my naive self decided the best thing I could do, was run, giving up everything I loved. Does anyone remember how anything begins? Or how anything ends? For every story, every song, every movie has a beginning to an end and an end to a beginning, but what about the rest? What about prior to the beginning or after the end, and everything in between? No one cares about that, I guess. Everyone just wants to know how what begins and how what ends; the rest is history. The rest is nothing and everything at the same time, because those who want to see, want to feel, breathe in it all--they are the lost souls in the world. They are lost, searching, needing, and craving souls. They are you and they are me. Lost in this world of collateral damage, hoping to be rescued. Searching for what can rescue them, whether that be a person or a drug or a hobby. Needing whatever it is soon because they have drowned and they are six feet under, floating in alcohol and seizing due to heroin and crying because of a him or a her. And craving--craving to die and to live all at once, for they know life is a beautiful disaster and they know about the good and the evil in this world; it has hurt them, numbed them, and misplaced them. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
