He gazed upon the lavish diamonds and golds adorned upon his walls, feeling a strange frustration well within him. His eyes shifted out to the large window wall of his office with a resigned look. How envious he was of the passing strangers. Although they fed on mediocre street food and wore discounted clothes, they had on a smile that he could never find.

With a swivel of his chair, he sighed as a knock came at his door. How strange it was. He had on jewelry that people could only dream of seeing. He wore clothes that not even a king could afford. Every night he ate food cooked with only the most premium ingredients from across the globe.

So why did he feel so empty?
