At the age of 16, everyone in the world had a chance to meet their soulmate. Well, not really, more like your soulmate dropped items and you had to figure it out from there. However, there was a set of rules... a status quo to be precise. Royals with Royals, High class with High Class or Middle class, Middle Class with Low to high, and Low with Middle or Low. And people were happy with this. It was the way of the world, and no one dared questioned it.
Rainey's family sat on the low end of the status quo. She worked hard in school and sat second in her class. She worked with her parents as maids for the royal family and lived life to her fullest. And while Rainey always said that she didn't have time to meet her soulmate or care, she secretly could not wait to meet the person to call hers.
Harley lived the easy life. Girls falling at his feet, people loving him, and his status. Engaged to the beautiful princess from a nearby kingdom, who many thought to be his soulmate. It made sense and followed the status quo. However, the prince has some doubts. So, when he turns 16, he does the only logical thing and drops his fiancés crown.
What will happen when Harley finds the crown, not in the hands of his fiancé but a random maid. How will Rainey react learning her soulmate is none other than the prince. Will these two souls find a way to be happy together or when it comes down to it will they choose to follow the way of the world.
