A lonely boy, quiet and kept to himself, meets a boy in a tree house far into the woods that sits amongst the backyard of his newly moved-in house. Neglecting parents who threw out the boy completely from their lives, soon grow worried when the boy, their son, goes missing after "loosing himself in the woods."
Find out what happens to George Davidson after he "losses himself in the woods." In my story, Flightless Bird.
The song, "Flightless Bird" from the famous series "Twilight" is the base on this story.

After Clay gets evicted, he has to live on the streets. He breaks down completely and he doesn't see any purpose anymore. When he sleeps on the streets, he sees a boy passing by everyday. Clay has autism and finds comfort in simple things, the illuminated a fireplace on a winter's night, fish swimming and stuffed animals. However, this was all soon to change after a tragic accident. Clay finds himself alone, seeing his happiness slip away from one simple mistake. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again... Every now and then George sees a mysterious wolf watching over them, and he meets a strange guy, who's living in the woods. Is the wolf just a wild animal or more than that, and what's with the guy, who makes George feel something he didn't know a human was able to feel?
