The Eyes of Death

Going to a school for magic isn't easy, not when the only magic you know can get you executed. It gets even worse when you not only have to deal with teenage problems like romances and grades, but somehow become wrapped up in a conflict between kingdoms and families, with a dark century-old secret in the middle of it all.

Shi Desdemona is a simple commoner from a farming family on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Erif. However, his life is turned upside down when the annual magic test reveals he has a Magicae, the potential to do magic. The problem is, the only magic Shi knows is necromancy and other dark magics, which have been banned for centuries. Despite that, he aims to become one of the top ten students in order to help his family, even with the risk of execution if his secret is ever found out.

Amidst the ever looming threat of execution, his new life at Erif's School of Magic won't be easy, not when he has to deal with not only normal teenager struggles of grades, friendship, and romances, but being dragged into the secret war festering in the kingdom, along with the growing tension with the neighboring kingdom, all of which connected to a dark and dirty secret long swept under the rug. With love, friendship, and the lives of his family at stake, his first semester at the school of magic will be a lot more eventful than he ever wished.
