She was diagnosed with this mental disorder when she was young after an unknown event that left her traumatized and forgetful. Y/N remembers nothing but fragments of her youth, including the people involved, but with psychotherapy, she doesn't tend to forget crucial things in the present. But, that was before the world flipped upside down, where Y/N woke up in the hospital completely alone. Days go by living in this Borderland, never leaving the state of shock as she participates in immortal games. But, without her doctor giving her psychotherapy, she forgets fragments of things that happen the day before. To keep herself sane and safe, she writes in a journal to keep track of who she is now rather than who she was before, a participant in the Borderlands. As days go by in the Borderlands, Y/N forgets how much time passes by before the face cards were introduced. This new stage introduces her to Shuntarō Chishiya, a man who seems like a stranger to her, but in reality was the same doctor who gave her psychotherapy.Complete

CURRENTLY UNDERGOING MAJOR EDITING REVISED CHAPTERS: 2 "human relationships." he explained, a small chuckle leaving his throat, "i don't care about people's hearts. i don't want to know how people work or how they think. they're all selfish anyways." you didn't interrupt him, despite how you wanted to disagree. people weren't selfish, at least not everyone. and like chishiya had told you before, wasn't being selfish sometimes a good thing? shouldn't you be allowed to want certain things for yourself? once more your thoughts paused and the feather light touch of a hand against yours could be felt, not quite finding purchase but enough for you to feel that he was there. or maybe it was meant to reassure himself. his throat moved, perhaps his attempt to clear the tightness and arrange the words evidently playing on the tip of his tongue. "but then i met you. and it was weird. i had never been so interested in a human being before. and through time i found that..." he paused, glancing up for a brief moment before holding your fingers more securely, "you're the only heart i want to learn more about."
