Shadow of the Phantom Curse

A realm, intersected with the human plane, is inhabited with 'shadows', the existence of which remained unknown to the world - and even the shadows themselves weren't aware of the fact that they existed in different realms.

Victims are considered hosts of parasites- the shadow demon. Fortunately, most shadows are weak and prefer the casual stalking of their host. It has been observed are able to suck life essence from their host, particularly by fucking up their host's life. The impact that the shadows hold is immense as they gradually break down the mentality and morals of a person through various means, such as mind control. Taking on a physical form to manipulate social life has also been suspected.

Catheris Orial - a 26 year old designer who specializes in plain suits and leads a basic, day-to-day life - becomes incidentally roped into the convergence between the human and shadow realm by his own 'delusions'. However, he does have quite the involvement with his family history, which extends back to a small island off Virosiad, the mainland, located in the middle of the sea. Where his ancestral roots originate from - is named Deliamois, known for its mysterious setting as it had only been unveiled a few decades ago when the fog around it disappeared, with no trace of it online whatsoever besides a few pictures taken from Virosiad.

Something is wrong, undeniably wrong as the dreams he's been having get more and more obscure in their nature. After a few dream-occurrences transpire in Catheris's basic, boring life, he realizes that the dreams' contents may be slipping into reality sooner than he had actually thought - a possibility he didn't think possible even with undeniable evidence. The source of the dreams oddness and the shadows that came along with them trace back to where it all started in the living world.

There's a certain 'thing' with its prying eyes on him, and him only.

In conclusion, the man is fucked; literally and metaphorically.
