After holding her for hours our serenity was shattered as apbruptly as we had acquired it. Her father's pickup truck pulled into the driveway. I dashed for my clothes but realized there was no way I could run without being caught. Kara instructed me to get into the closet and to stay quiet. I prayed I wouldn't be found. I could see her through the slits of the closet door. My "sleeping beauty" laid on the bed. The early morning sun caressed her body. She commanded the light.
