"Her words are venom to those who hate the truth."

Effe Collymore finds power in her words as she continues her father's legacy of being a propagandist, exposing the lies and deception of the broken system of the government under the dictatorship of Admiral Adira where corruption and abuse of power is prevalent, where the vulnerable are exploited for the interest of the rich, where the rich become richer and the poor become poorer, and the disparity between those in power and the powerless in the society widens.

Those who dared to speak their dismay and criticism against the government could only pray for themselves, for one could be found dead or would never be seen again-just like what happened to her parents who were pushed to the edge. When her father and mother were captured and never found after the new government took over, Effe hid in the dark together with other renegades and mavericks.

At the height of the underground society's pursuit of freedom and justice by forming a revolt against the insufferable government, they met Rohan, a renegade that one of them rescued. Rohan's knowledge about warfare and his ability to see through strategies gave him a chance to be able to blend in with the group, leaving everyone in awe of his ability to philosophize about politics and economics.

Albeit finding herself with an undeniable attraction towards Rohan, Effe still couldn't put her guard down for she does not know if he is an ally or an enemy.

This story will heavily talk about politics and topics about the society, reader's discretion is advised.

~PARAGON CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE 3, BOOK 2~ *This novel serves as the 2nd novel of Phase 3 and a sequel to "Spark of the Rebellion".* "War is part of nature, and it's time that you accept that. When we return this Citadel to its warring state.....it shall emerge all the stronger for it. In the name of the Mainframe." -Imperator Barrows The enigmatic girl known only as Moody comes from an unstable past. Once a member of a notorious terrorist organization called the Crimson Skulls, she caused havoc and bedlam all in the name of her leader, Dr. Duncan Drevis. But those days are past; after Dr. Duncan Drevis's redemption, the Crimson Skulls have disbanded, with Moody relocating to the Rusted Citadel on one of Asia's archipelagoes and leading a brave rebellion in her attempts to free it from the ruthless, tyrannical rule of the Iron Kingpin. In 2021, they succeeded, with the help of half of the Paragons: The Viper, Dr. Duncan Drevis himself, The Crawler, and Duncan's sister Monica, known as the superheroine Voltara. Moody gained invisibility and intangibility powers, too, and swore to use them for good in defending the reborn city as the superheroine Specter, alongside its new head, King Ryker, and his court: T.J., Logan, Ollie, and Sylvester. But as the Rusted Citadel struggles to escape the shadow of the Iron Kingpin's despotic rule and embrace its brighter future, a new threat has emerged. A movement called the Shattered Circle works to reignite the conflict, with the goal of making money off of both sides for their own gains. With methods such as blackmailing, weapon trading, and information bargaining, they seek to return the Rusted Citadel to ruin and flee with the spoils. Moody has been tasked by King Ryker with investigating and taking down the Shattered Circle, and only time will tell if she succeeds.....or if the Rusted Citadel's dreams of freedom and liberty were always meant to be a fantasy from the start. • Cover designed by @Castiment

In Symmetria, a city obsessed with looking perfect while everything underneath is falling apart, the cracks are getting harder to ignore. The leaders? They're more focused on keeping their polished image intact than actually running the place. But chaos is brewing, and guess who's making a comeback? Ravi, the power-hungry dictator with a tighter grip on the city than ever. And trust me, things are about to get messy. Enter Sunaina, a sharp, determined force of nature, and her loyal (but definitely not boring) friends Jenna and Marcus. They're caught in the middle of all this chaos, trying to save Symmetria from Ravi's iron fist, while dealing with the fact that trust is about as rare as a flaw in this so-called perfect city. Betrayal? Oh, it's lurking in every corner, and hidden agendas? They're sprouting like weeds in a manicured garden. The trio needs to figure out who's on their side-and fast-because the clock is ticking. In this city, loyalty is more fickle than the weather, and ambition? Well, that'll lead you straight into disaster if you're not careful. With the cracks in Symmetria's perfect facade getting deeper by the day, the leaders will have to face not just Ravi but also the enemies within their own ranks. As everything unravels, one question remains: How far are they willing to go to protect their "perfect" city? And who can they actually trust when every choice could pull them deeper into chaos-or worse? Buckle up for a wild ride. Power, ambition, and loyalty are about to collide in ways no one saw coming. Because in Symmetria, nothing's as perfect as it seems, and every move could be their last.

Sixteen years ago, my sisters and I moved from France to the United States to live the American dream. Not long after, I met Declan, a marine who was home for his mother's funeral. He was my everything, my world, and the love of my life. Four and a half years later, I became his fiancée. Then, when I thought everything was going well, my world ended when I awoke to him gone. No note, no nothing. He was just gone. I waited days, weeks, and months to hear from him and for his return. That never happened. Then, I met Chadwick, who took the pieces of my broken heart and put them back together. He promised me many things during our dating years, guaranteeing he'd give me the world. And he was. Then, after years of not wanting to give my entire heart to him, fearing he'd do what Declan had done, I pushed the fear of him leaving me aside and married him. The night we married, instead of giving me the world he promised, I was gifted a nightmare. For over six years, I lived in a lake of fire. If I wasn't locked in a dark, cold room for days on end, day and night, I was tormented, punished, abused, and tortured in the blackest darkness until I could no longer see, talk, or move. Maltreating me until he broke me. Finally, one of my prayers was answered when an ally close to Chadwick helped me escape the prison of hell. She flew me out of New York and brought me to her friend's home in Mobile, Alabama, where I got the shock of my life. He wasn't just her "friend." He was a ghost from my past, and now I'm in his care. Oh, and he has a child nearly as old as our breakup.

Back cover In the late twenty-second century Humans have reached the stars, and they are not the first. Ancient technology has literally propelled them into the galaxy, and they find themselves far from alone. Three civilisations, more advanced by millennia, rule vast areas of space by cooperating with each other as the all-powerful Citadel. There are many other, less powerful species; Humanity is forced to join their ranks, low in the pecking order. As they explore and colonise new worlds, the Systems Alliance of Humans encounter the Batarians. Skirmishes ensue, avoiding an all-out war that might draw the attention of the Citadel. On a frontier colony, tragedy strikes time and again. Growing up knowing little else, eager to avenge a mother's death at the hands of Batarians, a youngster's journey begins to "be all they can be". But that may be something other than Human - and the shadow that falls across all of the Systems Alliance may be from within as well as without.
