Y/N lives in a world of 2 brothers. Long ago, they were protectors of a tree, one that held both positive and negative energies. Dream, and Nightmare. Dream protected the positive emotions, whilst Nightmare protected the negative ones. These were in the form of light golden apples, and rough looking black ones. Dream was liked and cherished around the kingdom, while Nightmare was often injured by ignorance within the subjects. One day Nightmare got sick of it. He ate a apple. He destroyed everything. Dream and a few allies managed to escape and start their own kingdom. now there are 2 kingdoms. Nightmare's, And Dream's. And this my friends, is where our story begins.

When Ink is exploring the au's, he stumbles upon a new au where he meets a new friend named Nightmare. The both of them create a close bond, and Nightmare explains how the villagers mistreats him and how they treasure Dream. Ink knew Dream for awhile, but Dream never mentions Nightmare. One day Nightmare had enough of the villagers and ate the apple of negativity and leaves Dreamtale empty. When Ink comes to visit Nightmare, he sees that everyone is disappeared, and so did Nightmare. Not mention Dreams new and unusual behaviour towards Ink. Unwanted protection
Everyone knows the Star Sanses: they're the Guardians of the Multiverse, and protect it from Nightmare and his minions, who only want to spread chaos and destruction. They're kind, strong, brave, the good guys! How can you not love them? You can't. They deserve the world. They're perfect and selfless and precious, and must be protected at any (and I do mean ANY) cost. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, of course! It's just, the Multiverse doesn't give them the appreciation and respect they deserve, not really. But Nightmare, Error, Horror, Killer, Dust, Cross... they know how much Dream, Ink and Blue are worth. And they'll keep them safe. Forever. Error felt himself fall apart as time passed and when Blue hugged him all his memories flew back in his face. His home, his life, Nightmares secrets. When Dream accuses Error of having feelings for Ink he finds himself in the situation of a lie, holding up the lie of love until he can find his way back. When Nightmare comes into the Star Sans' base with Ink tied up Erros whole lie comes unraveled. Especially with the multiverse's Ink watching TV next to him. "What's going on with you?" Ink huffed.
