Steve just moved from a toxic environment and a toxic relationship to somewhere better for him. And maybe SOMEONE better for him too 😉.
This story started off as only a chapter or two, but now it is an ongoing story. I post another chapter/part every few weeks or so. This is one of my first stories, so bear with me. I honestly am just changing it as I go and the first few / 1-2 chapters suck.

Steve(21) Hasn't had a chance to leave this awful place. He has stayed around for the kids, wanting nothing more to be there for each one's graduation. Confused. Lonely. Depression has really started to hit in the last couple of years after all of the tragic losses to the upsidedown. Nearly losing everything and everyone he's cared for and loved. Most everyone has gotten their chance to escape, Nancy and Jonathan moved to California after graduation. Robin's off at college. Until he realizes maybe he's not so alone here, sparking a true friendship with the most unlikely person, Eddie Munson. Eddie(22) hasn't been able to get out of this town either after swearing he would get the hell out of here many years ago. The kids are all graduating this year, which will most likely end up giving the two now men, no reason to stick around anymore. But what will happen to the two friends when Steve realizes the feelings he's thought for so long to just be a platonic friendship have always been a little more? I do not own rights to the ST characters or themes but I do own rights to my own storyline. I will be using pictures from artists that I find as the art for each chapter. Steve's always been the jealous one according to the group, according to literally everyone. Even the kid who supposedly praises him. Everyone tells him that he's jealous of Dustin finding another older friend to have by his side. But no one knows why and that it's not all jealousy. He dropped what he was doing and turned around making cold eye contact with her. "Robin. I'm being serious. Drop it." The girl tensed up and worry gathered on her face for a short second. "Okay, okay. If it's that bad then I won't bother you about it again. I'm sorry okay?" She raised her hands up in a surrender and went back to the vhs's on the counter next to her. (Made this fanfic in 2022!! there are a lot of typos and some things that straight up don't make sense, just as a heads up.
