Mavis and Blake have been best friends for seven years, two months, and sixteen days. They've been through a lot--middle school, braces, drivers tests, prom--and they got through it all side-by-side. Now, it's Blake's senior year, and everything is about to change. While Mavis worries about her secret feelings for Blake and his plans for college, he's trying to find a way they can be together when his world threatens to pull them apart. 

With dreams that feel an awful lot like forgotten memories, secrets that begin to suffocate, and a creepy bird that follows her around like a stalker, Mavis has to make a choice: Blake and the dangerous world he's been hiding from her or the safety of the normal life she's always known. When someone comes after her, Mavis and Blake must work together to find out why and fight for their love.
