He unclasps the chain from his neck and hands it to me. "What- no. Rio, why are you giving me this?" I ask, trying to hand him it back. He starts walking away from me and to his car, "Rio!" I shout. Rio turns around, "V, don't. Please." he whispers. I shake my head, walking up to him. "No, why are you giving me your necklace? You need it! It's like your 'lucky charm' you said." I sigh, holding out his hand and he snatches his hand back. "I was chasing these guys, from the mafia, around a year ago and now they're looking for me V. I'm doing this so I can protect you, I won't let them touch you." he whispers, taking the necklace and putting it on my neck. A tear slips down my cheek and he says, "In another life my love."
