It's been roughly 50 years since the plague struck through Naraka, turning innocent people into bloodthirsty monsters who are blinded by their never ending bloodlust. Only the immune are safe from this deadly disease, and Astrid Cyprus happens to be one of them. Being the only female in the land with this lucky feat, is both a blessing and a curse. Astrid faces many difficulties as she is drafted to fight in the war against the army of the dead, meeting Fallon is one of them. His brutal and harsh attitude towards people, causes them to butt heads at every corner. It doesn't help that she is naturally sarcastic and cold on the surface which causes them to disagree. Fallon doesn't think Astrid has a fighting chance...

But she is about to prove him wrong.

Despite her rough childhood in the care of West, an abusive guardian, who adopted Astrid and her sister Lucy after finding them helpless on the edges of Naraka, Astrid grew up to be one of the most feared hunters in all of safe-zone F6, and a force to be reckoned with. With the help from childhood best friend, Jax, she has perfected her techniques and knows how to wield every weapon known to man. They train in secrecy, afraid of the soldiers who will kill her for knowing such barbarity. Until testing day changes everything.

Those who are immune to the disease, are forced to fight on the battlefront against the monsters. Their immunity does not protect them from dying, however it does protect them from the plague that turns them into these awful creatures.

Will Astrid crumble under the brutalities of war? Or will she find out something unexpected that changes everything?
