Set in the mid-1970s, Rania Elvira "Ranie" Miranda lives a charmed life as the daughter of a department store owner. Everything in her world goes well, until she meets the outspoken Silvestre "Bestre" Felix, who is secretly an activist writer.

Tensions flare between them the moment they know each other. Until one night, when they shared a slow dance, things changed for them. Bestre admitted to Ranie that he only had eyes set on her the entire time. Ranie soon realizes that she feels the same way too.

Together, they embark on a hidden relationship and Ranie learns the reason for Bestre's fight. His advocacies as an underground writer was to continue the fight left by his activist cousin, who died at a young age. This made Ranie brave enough to stand by his side and be with him no matter what happens.

But challenges await both of them. Together with another guy dating Ranie and Bestre facing the risks of getting arrested, they must face the forces trying to keep them apart.
