The Time of Reckoning was a drastic disaster that bled upon the world every thousand years when the Dark One awoken. From His prison harbored in the darkest depths of Hell, the Dark One would be unleashed and escape to the Overworld, where he would continue in his goal to conquer it. He eventually makes it to a city. Large buildings are fallen over and the ones still standing have busted out windows and/or have smoke and fire coming from them. He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over.
