This story is a fiction written in the POV of a 14 year old girl. Emma(main character) finds herself now entering High School. Over the summer she feels like none of her friends are the same and doesn't know exactly where she stands socially. Throughout this story you will begin to see the changes in her friends, family dynamic, and even herself, but are they good changes?

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Those people being exorcists, something they should become. But what if they didn't want to grow up and follow in their bloodline like their sibling had? What if they wanted to live a normal life without the unique vision of seeing what the average citizen cannot? What if they cared not to be dragged into a life involving inhumane beings, and just studied for a job they yearned for, for the rest of their life? Unfortunately, wants cannot always be haves, for this young student at Kamome Gakuen cannot escape the life of a person with seeing eyes. It all started with a school mystery, his assistant, an exorcist, and somebody who wanted nothing to do with the apparition life in the first place. A shame none of them could get what they want. Once she finds out that the high school crush of every pubescent girl is the son of her father's friend, she's suddenly treated like the Queen of England. Her routines change as she is no longer able to go through her senior year peacefully. Will everything go wrong? Will her life be changed by one of the hottest guys in school? Disclaimer: this story depicts bullying and abuse that I (a then 13 year old) was unbeknownst to exaggerated and socialized ignorance. I very much don't agree with some decisions to move the plot forward though the story isn't all that. For young women reading, the treatment and abuse of some of these characters is absolutely unacceptable and be aware of that. This is just a trigger warning.
