I wasn't really shocked or upset. It was like somehow I had always known. Fast forward five years and we stayed in that very same house. That was where we found the cave in the woods and more importantly, the crystals buried inside it that we took back to the house. Now that would have been the end of it under normal circumstances; if this was just a normal wood that we had walked through; and if we had just found a normal cave, with normal crystals. But the truth was it was not a normal wood, it was not a normal cave and the crystals we had found most certainly were not just any old crystals. In fact, that night, something amazing started to happen. A soft glow started to appear from one of the crystals in a corner of the garden and covered us, before gradually transforming each of us into magical animals. One evening on a business trip she and her father get lost in an old almost abandoned castle. However they are not welcomed and the beast who lives there let's them know that right away. Carmen begs for her fathers freedom and the beast allows him to live if his only daughter agrees to live the rest of her life in this castle with the beast. Carmen agrees to live with the beast in his castle and as time goes on she begins to realize that this castle and the beast himself are not all that seem to be. But when Rell realizes Bastien is keeping just as many secrets as she is, the two become an unlikely team in the search for the Blood Rose. Time is ticking, and more than just The Dark Realm is at stake. Whoever stole the rose is now cursed to turn into a Beast every full moon, and is hidden among them. Students are going missing, and dark creatures are slipping into the Human Realm. Rell needs to find the Blood Rose, slay the Beast, survive high school, and sort out these new, confusing feelings for Bastien--all before the night of the full moon.
