Luke is good at people, he knows how they think, what makes them tick, how they're feeling, their weaknesses, everything. Until the start of freshman year, where he meets three mysterious enigmas like himself. He can't put his finger on it, but there's something special about them, something different.
But what he doesn't know, is that getting involved with them, will entangle him in so much more. In to deep to get out now, he finds himself recruited for a secret government project, Operation Deviance, for kids just like him. Kids with powers just like him. And while they might be choosing to use their powers for the government, their just as deadly and dangerous as the insurgents that try to stop them, and it could just as easily be bad guys at the end of their blades as it could be him.
What he doesn't know won't kill him. But what he does might.
