Before Auctoritas came to life, the afterlife was divided into three: Hell, Heaven, and Purgatory. Earth, filled with humans and all other mythical creatures, lived in perfect harmony. It wasn't long before the humans, after living on Earth for over a millennium, brought the end to the afterlife with other mythical creatures (who were promised a good place in their new universe).
The afterlife was reduced to essences that later inhabited the humans, giving them abilities, dictating how good or bad they would be, and the color of their blood chance, which eventually led to Auctoritas's classification system.
It is Auctoritas's mission to maintain power through light. For this, they must keep the evil from taking over and the afterlife from returning.
As Fate would have it, Heaven and Hell chose two individuals to restore the world to its natural order, no matter how many reincarnations it takes.
