The Day when War Began

Jane Gordon Pierce is a young 14 year old girl from a poor familly, who lived in a happy normail life. July 28, 1914, the anouncement of the war against Germany is a shock for her familly, village and the whole of England. Unfortunatly, her father and older brother are sent to the front of the battle. Jane and her mother have to imidiately leave the village and travel North to stay at her grandmama’s house.
While the war has just began, Jane is praying day and night for her father's and brother's safety.
Will they return?
When will the long cold, terrible war end..?
