Madeline McKie is a small-town reporter, itching for her big break. The story that gets dropped in her lap though? Everyone at the paper wants it. Everyone except for Madeline.

With murders raging through town for the first time in twenty years, bodies turn up left, right and centre, and she wants nothing to do with any of it. She already knows exactly who is committing the murders.

In order to solve the murders and save the town of Red River, Madeline has to delve into her past and search through memories she's long locked away. But when she comes face to face with the culprit, they aren't who she thought they'd be and she realises she's been given a lot more than she bargained for...
