Marinette Dupain-Cheng is your typical 16 year old girl: has a loving family, friends in school, good grades, and has two careers, and is the daughter of Paris's two famous bakers.
At least, that's what everyone sees on the outside. On the inside, behind the closed doors of the bakery and her life.
In reality, she gets abused by her parents. The only friends she has is the mayor of Paris's daughter, a DJ, and an athlete, a singer/guitarist, and a fencer. Mari is Ladybug and the Grand Guardian, defeator of Shadowmoth and Cat Noir.
And on top of that, Mari is broken, thanks to her parents and Lila. So when she wins a trip to Gotham for 3 months for her class and meets Jason Todd, what will happen when Lila finally goes too far and makes Marinette finally snap? Will the Wayne family be able to help her, or will the ravenette try to turn everyone away?

Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Jason Todd have been best friends since they were little kids, before Jason fled to the streets of Gotham. Both raven-haired kids grew up with identical pasts and backgrounds, and both connected with each other because of it. Marinette thinks her older brother is dead, and she lives alone with Tom. Hawkmoth is defeated, and the young Gothamite is broken beyond imagining. Can Jason, and maybe the rest of the Wayne family, bring the light back into her eyes and help her? Or will everything get a whole lot worse for her and Jason? Before things get out of control, she decides to move to Gotham City, crime central, in the hope to start new. There, she attends Gotham Academy, which is said to have an amazing design program. But, being a female teen in Gotham City is harder than she thought... even for Ladybug. Disclaimer: I do not own any Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir or DC Comics characters. I've simply used the characters to construct my own plot.

Marinette and Damian grew up in the league together, him the heir to the demon and her his beloved. They were inseperatable, always together weather in training or sleep, nothing could keep them apart. They were opposites but they loved eachother, yin and yang. Marinette an intelligent, extroverted sunshine found by the league trained to kill but still sweet. Damian a smart introverted boy, raised in the leage to be the next leader he has a heart of thick ice only his sunshine can melt. One fateful day deathstroke attacked causing the fated duo to have to separate. Marinette was sent to live with ex-assasins in France while Damian was sent to Gotham with his father. Unknowing when they'd meet again they gave eachother something to remember them by. Years later Marinette is stuck in a class full of dumb sheep. During her stay in paris she had made friends, or so she thought till an attention seeking munipulator named Lie-la- I mean Lila. Her lies prove that they weren't, proves that they also aren't to smart considering one internet search can prove her wrong. Marinette looking for an exscape from her dense class she finds Bruce Wayne is hosting a class trip to Gotham. What needs to be done to enter just happens to be one of her specialities. Years later, at the age of 17, Hawkmoth is finally defeated but Marinette's heart is hardened, she isn't the same 14 year old hero. She is stronger in every way possible, now that Paris is no longer calling her name she decides to move to a place that is, a place cursed with Plagg's destruction energy. She make's it her job to cleanse the city, to become a hero needed by the everyday city. That city though is already protected by strong and unrelenting hero's and they make it their job to find out who exactly this spotted hero is. She not only has to deal with that, but also a growing friendship and rivalry with a seemingly feared and popular boy in her school. Damian Wayne Al-Ghul, the son of Gotham's most eligible bachelor and richest man, Bruce Wayne. Damian Wayne is described as many things; skillful, smart, terrifying, angry, blunt, dangerous, and so on. He is not a man you approach to make friends with, he is not a man willing to willingly hang out with people, and he is not a man of idle conversation. He doesn't have the time to talk and make friends, after all he is Robin, one of the protectors of Gotham, and a trained assassin. Although, with his families growing concerns on his lack of friends he is forced out of the mantle of Robin. Now he has to make a ' change' he has to make a ' friend' and when a blue-eyed girl- who seems to have no problem making friend's- come into his life he decides that she will be his friend as she seem's to be the only one adequate enough.
