Delilah, 'Lilah' for short, I am the older sister of Isabella 'Bella' Swan. We didn't think much would be different than from where we lived with our mom in Phoenix, but would it be a bad thing if I wanted Forks to be the complete opposite of Arizona? I had been dreaming of coming back, and now that i am, there is not a thing I wouldn't do to stay with dad. But perhaps there was someone else that would also help anchor me. Was it so bad that I wanted the danger that came from loving a man with secrets? Secrets that could potentially kill my sister and I? All I know is Bella and me are stubborn, so much so, that we will take matter into our hands and uncover whatever it is that the Cullen family is hiding.

It's been a year since Bella Swan moved to Forks and everything changed. Now it's her younger sister Mara's turn-but Mara isn't chasing mystery or danger. She just wants to be close to her sister again. Forks was supposed to be a quiet reset. But the moment Mara steps out of Charlie's cruiser and locks eyes with Zane Cullen, she knows nothing about this town is going to be simple. Zane isn't like the others. He's more distant, more guarded-like he's afraid of himself. But the more Mara notices him, the more she's drawn in by the silence he wears like armor... and the storm behind his eyes. He feels it too. Something about Mara threatens the carefully constructed life he's built. Her scent is maddening. Her presence is a risk. But the connection between them might be even more dangerous than the truth he's hiding.
