The year is 2063. Technology in the 21st century has progressed beyond what anyone has ever dreamt of. Artificial intelligence has become an integral facet of everyday life, from transportation, business, and even in the world of medicine where many pay top dollar to have their organic forms cybernetically enhanced with technology and A.I. for life longevity. But at the same time, this technology is used to create synthetic android weapons of war. Among those weapons, a former Nation's Army combat android by the designation of AX-15. After being critically incapacitated in action, AX-15 was rendered unfit for service and was practically thrown out onto the streets. However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". Axis, with programmed loyalty to the mercenary and to the contract, suddenly has a glitch in his programming after an unexpected development during a mark which causes him to break from his prime directives and ignite a part of himself that Axis didn't know had existed.Concluída

More attractive units sell higher as well as the more physically fit the model is the higher the price. The units are used for anything and everything their owner wants, from household work to administrative duties, to even being sexual companions. They are each programmed with a hard drive in their brain that works like a computer and allows them to have a quick mind and agility, as well as nano machines in their body to repair any damage that can occur with normal usage. There are some people who still view the units as a dead body and have trouble interacting with them in their daily life. But most of the population is too poor to even afford one so this problem is left to the upper classes that can buy the units. For some, poverty is worse than death.
