Marilyn detested a lot of things. 

Being named after the infamous Marilyn Monroe was an honorable mention. Truthfully-she didn't even look like the woman in the first place. 

But that wasn't even on top of the list. 

No, having visions of the future was. Having dreams of future events-vestiges, that lingered in the back of her head. Imagines that plagued the recesses of her mind. Things that she could not tether to reality.

After one of those visions, Marilyn is forced to move back to Hawkins. After an incorrigible fight with her mother, Joyce Byers, she was forced to move out a few years prior, but her brother was now missing and she needed to find him. 

All while Steve Harrington is adamant in fixing their broken friendship back together.

And that's without mentioning 
the monsters in town, of course.

When Max gets possessed by Vecna his new priority was to make sure everyone was safe. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't do much, then one night, when they went to the Upside Down Nanch got possessed by Vecna when leaving. Steve can't lose her, they only kissed a couple hours earlier, he had to make sure she really liked him and she didn't just kiss him because of what he said about that dream. Will everything work out as they hope? Will everyone survive? Will Hawkins be okay? Will Steve and Nancy get together?
