After her mother passed away a week later, MC returned to her home and left the hectic city life. She discovered an old hand phone inside her mother's desk while cleaning the house, but it was empty. She was suddenly interrupted by a call on that hand phone. Thomas asked her if she knew where Hannah, his girlfriend, was since he had gotten a message from her with a phone number. She has been joined to a group chat with Hannah's friends and family while she is still perplexed. After all the commotion from the group chat, a hacker by the name of Jake got in touch with her. He asks for MC's assistance in finding Hannah, and MC must comply because she has no other option. The more information the MC learned about Hannah and the others while looking for clues, Jake and MC thought one of Hannah's friends was responsible for Hannah's disappearance. Then, MC learned about the man without a face, legendary Duskwood creature; he leaves a raven's mark on the doors of the worst sinners. Each year, on the night of the first new moon, he returns to the houses he has marked, drags anybody inside-guilty or not-out into the forest, never to be seen again. MC initially refused to believe in paranormal phenomena, but as time went on, inexplicable catastrophes began to occur. The faceless individual attacked Jessy, threatened Cleo's mother in a letter, and painted a red raven symbol on Richy's garage. Jake and MC continue their investigation into Hannah's disappearance because it appears that no harm has been done until Richy was attacked by the man without a face in the woods and was bleeding. What will MC do after that? Will she finish her inquiry or halt it before another person dies? ****************************************************************** English is not my first language, I'm sorry for grammar error ⚠️ All rights to Everbyte Credit picture : Google & Unsplash

HEAVY SPOILERS FOR DUSKWOOD - Please play the game before reading this if you don't want to spoil yourself. (Set after Episode 10. This will not follow Moonvale's events) ***** "MC" "..." "I'm here, MC." "Go outside." "Go outside, love." ***** "...a fire has taken place at the local Duskwood mine, where in 1899, in the same place, an explosion took place, killing 800 out of 1000 people. Police haven't still released details about this incident, but it is suspected that it was an intentional fire" ***** Life hasn't been the same ever since. After discovering who the culprit was, me and my friends haven't been the same. Well, at least they were all incredibly happy that they managed to hug Hannah again in their arms, but... Two people were missing in my group. And out of the two, there is one that never left my heart, never giving me peace. It was as if I couldn't breathe. What happened after that? Was Jake able to save himself? Was he caught by the FBI? I just hoped that he was alive, safe and well. Having no information about him was a torture I struggled to bear. And now that the adventure has finished, what am I going to do now? Will I move on, or will I stay determined to search for the one I love? Will I mantain my promise and meet him in Duskwood? _______________________________________ Duskwood is a game made by Everbyte. All the characters in Act 1 belong to them. Duskwood: Love's Beginning

57 parts Complete Mature

Even in the darkest moments, the beginnings of love can be found. Jayna Chacon is stuck in a rut. Her job is interesting, but she doesn't have any friends or anything else she's particularly passionate about. That is until a group of strangers starts texting her, asking her to help find their missing friend. Shortly after a faceless man reaches out and starts giving her orders. As time goes on, Jayna realizes she's risking her heart, her safety, and maybe even her life. Disclaimer: This original work of fanfiction is based on Everbyte Studio's mobile game, Duskwood. I do not claim ownership of Duskwood or its characters, nor do I claim that this story is part of the original. As this is a fanfic, I also will not earn any money from this work. There is more development of the main character than in the game so that readers who aren't familiar with Duskwood can still follow along. This storyline follows the main character and Jake (Jake X female MC). I've also added in a few characters of my own, just to give the story some more depth. As this is fanfic, there WILL be spoilers, so if you plan on playing the game or haven't finished it, I suggest you do so before reading this book! The chapters go from the MC's and Jake's point of view, so they don't follow the episodes in the game (i.e. there are more than 10 chapters to this book).
