A love letter to the populars, the awkwards, the depressed, the third wheels. Anyone reading this--this is for you.

To everyone that feels unimportant, left out, or never chosen...Ashley knows exactly what that's like. Every single best friend she's had has left for one reason or another. The most notable of these is Cole--the boy she knew practically her whole life until he moved away and was seemingly disinterested in continuing a friendship. When he reappears, will they get a second chance at friendship? Or perhaps something more?

[potential trigger warning: themes of bullying, depression, and self harm]

High school, a teenager's hell, but it can also be a place where you start on a path you didn't even know you were on. After the incident he was in his freshman year causing him not only to be homeschooled, but gain some serious insecurities, Elijah Mulligan has decided to be brave and come back in person for his senior year. That is, after the new football coach of two years, his father, convinces him to meet some of the players he's been coaching. One in particular catches his eye, and despite swearing to himself he'd never fall for someone again, before he knows it the captain of the football team is coming over to study with him and sooner than he likes Elijah finds himself staring into his eyes more than just a friend should. Growing up, all he wanted was to be loved as much as he loved others. What with an emotionally and physically absent step mother and a distant father who doesn't realize his son isn't a straight-A making machine, Chase Lawrence has developed a bad habit of stressing way too much over school work and having a burning desperation for a distraction. That didn't tend to mix well with his current girlfriend of three months who he's never gone on a single date with because she always had an excuse. Then, all of a sudden the endless loop of exhaustion and disappointment breaks when Chase finds himself magnetically drawn towards his Coach's son, and looking at him a lot more than someone already in a relationship should. So, what happens when a boy still recovering from the trauma he gained his freshman year and a quarterback wanting a relationship where he can finally be himself, start to like each other? Well, hopefully, maybe, they can give each other some stress relief. *** Copyright status: [All rights reserved]

"Why do you always avoid my questions?" "I'm not, it's just that there's nothing to say. Who would ever want to date someone they can't even talk to? It's not rocket science. My eyes are weird, and people get tired of me eventually. There's your one-page essay. Now please don't snow me to death .-." "What? All that you just said is a lie. And I should snow you to death for even saying that! I would definitely date you." "...Thanks." 🍒。・゚♡゚・。🍓。・゚♡゚・。 Dallas Addison had it all; being a talented swimmer and dating the star of the football team, she didn't think she lacked anything in any capacity. Sure, she and her boyfriend had minuscule issues, but which logical relationship didn't have their occasional ups and downs? After landing in Extra Credit class due to a series of mishaps with her grades and attendance, Dallas's turmoil became despair when she became paired with one of the most eccentric people in the entire class. Seriously. Who wore sunglasses to school, much less indoors? When weeks turned into months of working together, series of back-and-forth message threads started to hit closer and closer to home. Suddenly, Dallas realized that maybe her life wasn't as idyllic as she was previously led to believe. || Completed 2023 ✔️ || ©ReeseTory2022
