Mailynn Robins was the girl who got bullied as a kid. Simple as that. So when she dropped off the face of the  Earth for 5 years nobody cared very much. However, when 17 year old Mailynn comes back to her small hometown of Aura for senior year everybody is shocked at her transformation.  Everybody including Carter  Hadley, the boy whom made her life miserable as a child. 

Everything is smooth sailing until Mailynn and Carter get paired together for a project in their photojournalism class. As the project continues secrets are uncovered and truths are told, and the duo will soon have to share their twisted past in order to find some inner peace.
