When Naruto becomes Hokage in the middle of the Fourth Great Shinobi War he quickly realizes how corrupt several people are, and he learns how badly that has screwed their village for the future. The war keeps him from fixing everything, but he manages to start fixing some of his predecessors' mistakes. Then everything gets torn apart by a rabid rabbit goddess, and he loses almost everyone. He's on the run with the six other remaining people with some precious things: the knowledge of all the shinobi villages (sealed into Orochimaru) and a seal that might give them a chance for a better future. The seal will take them to the past, but they might not be able to handle the unfortunate consequences.....

Hiruzen Sarutobi the third Hokage wanted Naruto to make friends his own so he makes him go to the academy and makes him be part of a gennin squad.
