This is the story of Nicholas Taylor... the youngest son of Matty and Sums. Opening up to his family that he's gay and suffers from alcoholism. He breaks up with his fiancé Lani once he admits his true feelings. The same ones that had turned him into an alcoholic. Drinking was the only way for Nick to numb the pain in his heart, from the break up and coming out.
He meets Emerson Porter, the eldest son of Darren and Stephanie, who is keeping a very big secret from them. He's gay, and is in a committed relationship with Nick.
From that day, Nick and Emerson have been inseparable and madly in love. Lani finds love again. Nick goes to rehab, has a new job as a Doctor at the Watson's Family Clinic, life is looking much better.
