Mavis Jackson, 18 year old High School Senior. She's become accustomed to the unexplainable events of the small town of Hawkins, but what else would you expect from a child of absent parents? Mother being an international lawyer and father being deployed only the government knows where. She's used to accepting things as they are.

She finds herself as a lonely art student, spending her lunches painting her visions of the dark fantasies she dreams of. With a history of schizophrenia in her family, she belittles the horrific fantasies in which she is a victim of. She listens to music while eating fruits and vegetables in the absent of the school where things are quiet. Things remain quiet until her episodes return and she bumps into the schools metal head freak, she discovers friendships she never would've thought she had. She accepts them and embraces their company, however things become strange when they take interest in the art she produces.
