Cynthia is your normal, average, run-of-the-mill 14, going on 15, year-old girl...other than the fact that she is two entire grades ahead of her age group. Her parents sent her to a private school; without their only child around to raise, they can focus on working and travelling the world. Although she has many friends and the kids at her school are very kind and smart she still finds her drab, empty apartment lonely...that is until one stormy night there's a noise at her door. She opens it to find a half-dead, shivering husky dog at her doorstep. She takes him in for the night, but what happens when she wakes up to a whole different kind of pet?
