I remember the scene like it was yesterday. My mother, Stefani, held my hand the whole morning. We laughed, sang, and did each other's hair while Dad was at work. The very same day, she kissed my forehead and said she was sorry for everything she's done wrong. Being an eight year old, I just accepted her apology. We got in the car and went to a house in a neighborhood across town, and that settled it. I was practically given to Jamie and Steven Cooper, oblivious as to why I was adopted.
