The story follows the life of Rebekah Mikealson, an original vampire who was cursed by her mother, along with her siblings, over 1000 years ago to live an eternal life immortal and unkillable. To be forever trapped in her 17 year old body. After Rebekah left her ex, Marcel, who also happened to be a vampire, standing at the alter; she realized, it wasn't love she thought she had. It was a craving for happiness that Marcel couldn't give her. Rebekah would do anything to be happy. Even give up her eternal life for a couple years as a human.
After leaving New Orleans in seek of a cure for her vampirism created by Caroline Forbes, she bumps into a friendly face. A 23 year old werewolf named Morgahn Blue, who belongs to a self-made pack consisting of her, her 3 friends, and their alpha. Over the several months of searching for Caroline, Morgahn and Rebekah grow closer. She is forced to watch again and again every full moon as Morgahn goes through a painful shift, every 206th bone snapping in her body, While the rest of her little pack has moonlight rings.
Rebekah finds herself in a big dilemma after Morgahn is somehow changed into a hybrid and now is cursed to live as an immortal just like her.
1. Take the cure and go have a family, just to die old.
2. Live an eternity with Morgahn.
