❝ KISS ME IN THE SEAT OF YOUR ROVER REAL SWEET, BUT I WISH YOU WERE SOBER ❞ Genevieve Lee has been going to Cousins Beach every single summer she's been alive. It was a tradition that started with the three peas in a pod, as they called themselves. Katherine Lee, Susannah Fisher, and Laurel Park. Since the three were exceptionally close, it also meant their kids were close too. Though, Gen and Jeremiah seemed to be the closest of the bunch. They were the best of friends. Riding their bikes to the beach together, FaceTiming in the winter, flicking paperclips at Steven and Conrad, pushing Belly into the pool, sharing secrets over ice cream at midnight. One secret, however, that remained unshared was how Genevieve really felt about him. Sure he was her best friend and she loved that, but she couldn't help but want something more. But that would never happen, she constantly told herself. He has a thing for Belly. Not her.
