Mikey had never surfed a day in his life. That didn't stop him from grabbing a board and charging into the waves like he was born for it. His friends were still setting up snacks on the beach, unaware that Mikey was already paddling out - with no experience and definitely no supervision. The first wave knocked the wind out of him. The second dragged him under. He couldn't tell which way was up. Saltwater burned his lungs as he sank deeper, limbs flailing uselessly. Through the haze, he caught glimpses of vibrant coral, glowing softly in the ocean's filtered light. Small, curious fish circled him, their scales shimmering like fragments of a dream. Then, everything shifted. The water darkened. A shadow - massive and slow - glided past him. Mikey's eyes fluttered, heavy and unfocused. His body floated limply in the abyss. "...ey..." "H..ey..!" "Hey..! Wake up!" He coughed hard, water spilling from his mouth as his eyes snapped open. He was lying on a rock, the sun warm against his soaked skin. Blinking against the light, he saw someone looming over him. Not just someone. A fish person. With messy black hair, wide blue eyes, and a very concerned expression. "Are you okay?" the fish person asked, fins twitching. Mikey squinted. A mermaid? No-merman? Or maybe he was still drowning. ----------------- OR Mikey and his friends go to the beach for some relaxation, there Mikey tries surfing with NO experience and NO supervision. Hanagaki Takemichi lived a life of adventure. He was a friend to some, a brother, a lover, and a crush. He stubbornly wanted to save the people he loved. the people he had cared about. Even if it meant seeing them die over and over again, it didn't matter. As long as they got their happy ending. "I sentence Hanagaki Takemichi for 13 years in prison no parole." The judge's voice resounded throughout the courtroom. "I beg you to RECONSIDER-" "My judgement is final. And I have already granted mercy for his sins. A murderer doesn't need anymore mercy than this." ... Murderer? Hanagaki Takemichi, the crybaby hero, is a murderer? His lawyer sent him some pitying looks as he was now being handled by the police towards his new 'home'. if Takemichi could remember correctly, Draken was dying right in front of him just now. Bleeding out from his gun wound as senju tried to snap him out of it. So how did he get here? OR Inspired by the ao3 I had read by TheAngelo title is Forgive Me Father, (For I have Sinned) and it's such a good read it's based off of that. So there will be similarities in the scenes. Basically, when Draken dies in front of him, he just couldn't take it anymore and somehow he lost consciousness but except for the eternal sleep he was hoping for, he was instead transported to a new dimension (or a very different timeline) And now all of the well known gangs he knows is in prison AND so is he. :)
