It still set in 1986 - 1987, same characters, just no monsters and basically its a romance fanfic using characters from Stranger Things. Chrissy has ptsd and is scared because of things that have happened to her in the past...

In this case, Eddie knew exactly where the Special K was in his bedroom and immediately gave it to Chrissy who took it right then and there. From this point forward is what may have happened if Chrissy had lived instead of falling under Vecna's curse and being his first victim.
