There is a monster roaming the streets, taking lives and leaving not even a trace behind. New York has been so preoccupied with aliens and supernatural terrors that serial murders were the least of most people's worries. An overworked detective leads the investigation into the Silent Silk Murders, and his curious daughter gets a little too webbed up in the case for comfort. A certain friendly neighbourhood spiderman has had to save her a few times too many, but some things are starting to make too much sense...
