Ethan wasn't exactly thrilled to move into a quiet village that made him feel like he was living in medieval times, but Mia was adamant in the fact that it was a lovely place with equally delightful people, and he wasn't about to deny his wife the comfort of living somewhere nice.
They stayed there for a few months, it was peaceful, albiet a little too boring for Ethan's tastes, but Mia was content and Rose was showing signs of growth, her eyes nearly but not quite opened.
But then some guy started walking around his place, someone he's only ever seen a couple times before, which wouldn't bother him if it weren't for the fact that many of the locals were now whispering and steering clear of the tall man; which means avoiding Ethan too.

"Ethan, right?" He walked up to him one day when he was grabbing groceries. It took him a moment to register that he was being referred to.

"That's right." The guy eyed him, seemingly unsure of how to continue before a look of annoyance flashed across his features. He left without a word.

Karl isn't sure how to approach Ethan, seeing as he's an outsider and an added bonus of being one of the 4 lords of this forgotten Hellhole. He slowly starts to notice that he not only is fascinated by Ethan, he's in love.

Ethan thinks Karl hates him but then realizes that Karl is just really bad at talking with people. Who would've guessed.
