The Straining Tower

Brace Loy was sold to a factory by his father when he was only five years old. Now that he's twelve, he's had enough of factory work. On the morning of the festival, he makes his escape, out of the smoggy factory valley of Woking Dell and up to the glittering shores of Lake Hiverdam with its famous Straining Tower. But Brace soon finds out that escaping is the easy part and surviving in the tower will require all of his wits.
