The chosen princesses have been raised with one goal: to be queen. The five half sisters have lived apart from the rest of the world, left to train with each other, the only thing in common being their father, the king. But their can only be one queen, and to be it they'll have to fight for it. They'll have to fight each other, in the Tournament of the Crown.
Onyx, a vampire like her mother, is the oldest at sixteen. Her mother, the famed "Evil Queen", disappeared when she was younger, leaving behind a legacy for her daughter, as well as some mysterious magic. Like her sisters, she has a deadly talent, and in her case, she has an unnatural relationship with death and darkness, and the magic that surrounds it.
Second oldest is Althea, a fifteen year old sorceress with a bone-chillingly cool power over ice, snow, and all things cold, similar to her frigidly strict mother, best known as the Snow Queen.
Next is Everly, a werewolf, their father's favorite, as she's the only one that inherited most of his traits. Her mother was a poor witch from the south, who now lives luxuriously since she was chosen. At only fourteen, the young wolf had managed to command the element of earth more successfully than any other living being.
Fourth is Selene, a fairy with a penchant for electricity. her mother was the most feared in all the land at one point, but left Selene when she was young, a deed the thirteen year old never completely forgave her for.
Lastly is Cybelle, an illusionist elf, with a mother hailing from Wonderland. Though the youngest at only twelve, her Wonderlandian blood has always given her an advantage.
