One felt like he needed to protect something (he didn't know what it was), protect that something with his life. Or was it someone's?

One wanted to be protected from everyone and everything. He wanted someone that would scare off any one that would try to hurt him.

One just wanted to have an older and younger sibling, he didn't want all the responsibilitie but he also didn't want to be protected from everything. He also wanted someone to protect, but also wanted protection.
