Depending on whether you ask a human or a demon what that word means, you would have two possible answers.

When humans hear that word, the first thing that comes to mind are priests, holy water, chanted prayers.

When demons hear of that word, the first thing that comes to mind are sirens...boarded doors and windows...and most of all...

Those bloodthirsty smiles...

Exorcists see all of them as the same. Creatures of sin that must be eliminated. Including those that may be familiar to you, or may be new faces entirely.

They may be angels, but they are anything but merciful to the denizens of hell.

...So why would one such angel willingly stay in a place full them?

(This book is post-pilot canon divergent, meaning I've developed the plot long before season 1 of Hazbin gets released. It's likely I won't change anything despite what canon says, so expect some stuff to seem outdated)
