It was supposed to be an in and out heist, nothing more, nothing less.

That was until one of VILE's operatives got an eye for you, and suddenly you're being dragged into the life of a thief because some guy who can work wires and heartstrings stumbled into your life. Literally.

"I-I didn't want this!" I gasp, tears pouring down my face as I stare into Gray's - or Crackle's - eyes, rain mixing with the tears as we stood on VILE Island.
"Then what did you want, mate? For me to leave you for VILE to wipe your mind? I wish I didn't have to drag you into this love but here we are."
"What did I want?" I stare into his deep eyes, hands on his shoulders. My voice softens. "You. I only wanted you. Not this. . . This. . . This life of stealing and lying," my voice feels strangled. "But I won't even be able to have that, will I?"
His expression falters and I know I'm right. I look away in anguish just for him to grip my jaw gently but firmly and direct my lips to his. We stand there, kissing in the pouring rain, my hands wrapping around his neck and his arms around my body. Our lips part slightly, just enough so he can whisper,
"We'll find a way through this."
"I know you will, Graham Crackle," I whisper, and see his smile flash just like the lightning that struck in the background.
