The images of his victims surfaced then, standing perfectly still like the good sacrifices that they were. The living room was full of them, they stared off into space. Eyes glossed over and dead, some with their mouths hanging slightly open. Clover sunk farther into the couch, hoping that if he ignored them, they would go away. Second Draft Excerpt: Clover reached out to grab Vast's face, but Vast reacted faster and snapped out his hand, grabbing ahold of his brother's wrist, dragged him in close and pressed his other hand to the back of his head. "No!" Clover snapped. "Shh...." They struggled for a moment but Vast was already dipping down.
